Lunch with Yuko at Adachi

One of the places Amy found online was Adachi.  The restaurant opens at noon.  Because of our schedule change, we were early.  We hung out at the 7-11 sown the block using the free WiFi.  Then moved to in front of the restaurant.  Our presence was noticed and the owner was very apologetic, even though she was not in the wrong at all, and gave us a gift of beautiful Japanese prints as we left.

Yuko was very helpful because there was not an English menu on the weekend.  There was a choice of 4 entrees, and then choose three sides from the case at the front.

End of a Great North Fork Trip with Lisa

The kitchen opens at 5... a perfect time for us to have dinner.  The weather was perfect, and the patio was beautiful.

In her youth, Lisa spent several summers on the North Fork with her family.  She wanted to revisit some of the landmarks she remembered.  First:  The Modern Snack Bar.

Notes

It has been called the 'Modern' Snack Bar from the very beginning.











We proceeded to the Woodside Orchard for cider:  Apricot is the special flavor this trip.

We then visited Greenport Pottery




Then, off to dinner.

Easter 2019

Asparagus Caprese Salad: Roasted asparagus with roasted cherry tomatoes, balsamic honey dressing, and parmesan cheese.
Italian Easter Pie. 
Prosciutto on the bottom, Mozzarella/Ham/Samami/Ricotta/Egg layer, Sweet Italian Sausage layer covered with Roasted Red Pepper, topped with Chopped Spinach below a crust. 

Bloody Mary with garnish of bacon, deviled egg, olives and gherkin pickle.

Jenn Gnecco is ENGAGED!!

Our good friend Jennifer Gnecco got engaged to Matthew Lawrence.  We went to dinner to celebrate and hear about their trip to Florida.
Notes

Biggie's Po Boy: Cajun fried whole belly clams with tartar sauce atop red cabbage and tomatoes on Italian bread
Turkey Chili:  Ground turkey, kidney beans, tomatoes, peppers and onions seasoned with chili spices & topped with cheddar cheese
Chicken, Shrimp & Broccoli Rabe BOWL:  Pan fried chicken, shrimp, garlic & broccoli rabe simmered in a chicken broth

CARBONARA PIZZA guanciale, Parmigiano Reggiano, roasted egg, parsley, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil


House-Made Mozzarella drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, coarse sea salt & black pepper, with sliced Italian Bread

THREE TREES radicchio, Belgian endive, arugula, roasted prosciutto, toasted almonds, pear, rosemary-shallot vinaigrette
