Casual Seafood on Lake Conroe TX

On this 24 hours in TX trip, after visiting the townhouse we are thinking about buying,

We headed to an early dinner at Sam's Boat, a area chain of casual seafood dining.

We sat outside, able to see the new place across the water.

There are public docks available, so if we had a boat, or jet ski, or SUP board, we could come to eat by water.

Being on the water provides many opportunities to view the wildlife.

I had the Cajun Lemon Red Fish.  I remember the Richardson branch of the family taking me fishing for red fish many years ago.

Diane had the Cape Shark Tacos.  What is a 'Cape Shark?' - It is better known as a Dogfish.

John had the Fried Shrimp Po-boy

Jersey City Taqueria

A huge portion guacamole, we were able to have it with two more meals after this
Green enchiladas
Salt cured flank steak. I have to find a recipe for this at home.
Irene went to Jersey City Medical Center this afternoon, we hope she'll be alright.

We like this place and I've always done take out so we thought we would try eating in. It turns out it's warm enough that their backyard is open and we were able to eat outside. The lively place with music and lights. And the warm November weather really was lucky.

Testing alternatives to Ever Note's FOOD app.  We have often said we should stop here, today was the day.  A sunny day, outdoor seating, no dogs in the car, a good parking spot and the smell of BBQ - how could we resist?

Cheddar and Jack stuffed pretzel loaf with avocado and corn  salsa
BBQ brisket sandwich with frizzled onions - substitute and add hush puppies
