Our intent was to visit the Hudson Blue Crab House in Bridgehampton.  The website looked great, the reviews looked great.  The problem was that they did NOT survive the summer and are permanently closed.

I cannot be sure the crab was in the building when the New England Clam Chowder was made.  A terrible thought for a place calling itself a "Chowder House"

After looking online for Japanese restaurants in the neighborhood where Amy works at NYU, we decided that this restaurant required us to have the least working knowledge of Japanese cuisine.

TIP:  Dip the mushrooms in one of the sauces to keep them soft and tender when grilled (this is also a good tip for your home BBQ adventures)

We were headed to Montauk for the Labor Day Weekend, and planned a dinner stop at Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas:  But we pasted an old familiar Iavarone Brothers first.

Wednesday is half price bottle of wine night, and NYS law says we can take home what we do not finish!  So a $34 bottle of Chianti cost $17 - less than 2 glasses of the same wine!
